As Manager of the Assembly Team at Brompton Bikes, Sunday oversees the manufacturing process and ensures the company’s standards of excellence are maintained.

Sunday has been working in manufacturing since coming to England in 1991, beginning at Mars Confectionery as a Factory Operator. He then moved to GSK as a submission operator. “That’s where I learned how to smart tool and assemble machinery and how to fault find issues
with the machines”.

He joined Brompton in 2013 and is happy with the move. “With GSK we worked on machine lines. Brompton uses man lines so we all assemble the bikes together. What makes it interesting is that you’re involved all the way from raw materials to a fully functioning bike”.

Throughout his career Sunday has done most of his learning on the job and now he helps train others. “You don’t need a degree to work in manufacturing. With the right training you can learn any skill”.
