As Manager of the Assembly Team at Brompton Bikes, Sunday oversees the manufacturing process and ensures the companyâs standards of excellence are maintained.
Sunday has been working in manufacturing since coming to England in 1991, beginning at Mars Confectionery as a Factory Operator. He then moved to GSK as a submission operator. âThatâs where I learned how to smart tool and assemble machinery and how to fault find issues
with the machinesâ.
He joined Brompton in 2013 and is happy with the move. âWith GSK we worked on machine lines. Brompton uses man lines so we all assemble the bikes together. What makes it interesting is that youâre involved all the way from raw materials to a fully functioning bikeâ.
Throughout his career Sunday has done most of his learning on the job and now he helps train others. âYou donât need a degree to work in manufacturing. With the right training you can learn any skillâ.
