7th March 2018 – Institute of Physics Technician Event
The Institute of Physics (http://www.iop.org/) are supporters of the Technician Commitment and are keen to increase engagement with the technical community across universities and research institutes. As such, they are hosting a bespoke event for technical staff based in physics disciplines on March 7th from 11.30-14.00 at the University of Nottingham’s Jubilee campus. Following a keynote speaker there will be a networking lunch and a consultative workshop where technical colleagues will have the opportunity to guide and inform the Institute of Physics’ future activities and events for technical staff. IoP are really keen to hear from technicians at all levels and this is a great opportunity to influence and shape the technician related initiatives of a prominent learned society. I would be grateful if you could pass this opportunity on to colleagues based in or working with any aspect of physics.
It’s free to attend and registration is available here: https://www.events.iop.org/e/iop-technicians-event-9caf2a02ba094b63a9ccdf6e8f06590e/page.html
At present there are a maximum of 50 places so please ensure colleagues register as soon as possible.
